The vision of
Mike Bogdanski’s Martial Arts is to give our community of students a chance to
increase their physical health, to protect themselves and their families and to
live their life through using character guidelines such as integrity,
perseverance and respect.
Mike Bogdanski and Kristin
Duethorn have designed the school to be an achievement center that teaches
modern self-defense and life-skills such as goal setting, a commitment to
attitude of constant personal improvement, and the possession of an indomitable
spirit. These values will enable each
student to have a rich and fulfilling life, occupation and family
relationships.
Traditional values and Modern Self defense
Our martial arts system
teaches Korean Tang Soo Do as our base system.
We are proud members of the United States Goodwill Tang Soo Do Association. This ancient art has a long history and is
most well known for a practitioner you may have heard of- Chuck Norris! Our program integrates a unique fusion of
karate, judo, aikido, kickboxing, Philippine Kali and Brazilian Jiu Jutsu to
make a practical and efficient means to defend yourself in most any situation.

Health and Fitness
No matter if you
are five or sixty-five, Strength, Conditioning, and Flexibility are
benefits a student can expect to receive with our training. Every muscle group
is strengthened and stretched with the exercises, movements, techniques, and
training drills that are incorporated into our curriculum. Your endurance
and stamina will peak as we increase your cardiovascular conditioning. All these physical benefits on your body will
be felt in your daily life and activities, and will increase your energy
and confidence.
Instructors
Our instructors here at Mike
Bogdanski’s Martial Arts are trained specifically as professional teachers, who
also train in classes themselves. All
instructors are trained in CPR, first aid and are AED certified. Our staff has monthly training in the
psychology of success and train in the latest martial arts technology. Motivating themselves and others to achieve
Black Belt success in class and in life is the main focus of every
teacher. On going training allows our
instructors to stay on the cutting edge of new techniques, martial arts
principles and exercise science. Mike

Our martial arts program is
not just another after school activity but personal development through
physical and mental self discipline. Our
classes help kids increase their focus and develop courage through the positive
male and female role models in our school.
Students learn to set and to achieve goals, taking small steps that help
develop self-confidence, self-control, and a high level of integrity. Our expectations are clearly presented,
taught and tested regularly, and connect a student’s progress at home and at
school.
The foundation of our school
is to first develop the character, the integrity, and the honor of the student
allowing them to grow mentally, emotionally and physically while gaining skills
for a lifetime. Learning attributes like
perseverance help students to develop a non-quitting attitude and to overcome
adversities and other life challenges.
By having confidence and character students will have the ability to
make good decisions when confronted with negative peer pressure and become
leaders not followers.

Our
adult classes are filled with adults, both men and women. Many of our instructors are parents who
started their kids in our program. It’s
been said that martial arts classes are like taking a forty-five minute
vacation from life. Covering the three
components of fitness-muscular strength, cardiovascular fitness and flexibility
in a positive high energy class, will help you feel great almost immediately
and at the same time learn some great self defense skills.

Everyone “plays” here at
martial arts class. This school treats everyone
like an individual. Some students come
to lose weight, some to increase self-confidence, some to gain more
self-control, and some for self defense.
