Congratulations to everyone who was promoted on Friday night. It was a great ceremony covering all ages and ranks. A special thumbs up to Mr. Boligan for being promoted to Apprentice Black Belt. If you were unable to attend the ceremony or need stripe testing, we will take care of it during classes next week. Banquet tickets available at the front desk. We would like to give them an accurate count on Friday January 14th. Please do not miss this awesome event. It is nice to take a night at the beginning of the new year to celebrate our accomplishments as individuals and as a school from the previous year.
We will also look ahead to all the exciting events planned for 2011. Dinner, dancing, awards and entertainment are included in your ticket price. Please ask your instructors for more detailed information and see Master Duethorn with any food concerns. Black Belt Club Event this week: Monday/Thursday- advanced training for BBC members Wednesday at 6:20pm Street Clothes Class- no uniforms/ regular clothes and clean shoes ( appropriate for the karate floor please)
Friday: No BBC due to Black Belt Pre-test-Evaluation. Black belts should attend and all testing candidates who have received an invitation must attend. Saturday: 11:00 Point Sparing and Forms for competition. ( You can come even if you are not competing!) Our theme for the month is Manners and Etiquette. We will be talking about the banquet, taking karate and other occasions with special decorum. Parents- please set an example by keeping our Parent Viewing area quiet and clean. If you must talk to someone in person or on the phone, please go outside of the Dojang. This week bow to an instructor and say 안녕하세요 = An nyoung ha seh yo = hello. We will be open for classes on January 17th. Have a great week and remember, it is not too late to start you new year with a gym membership! Biggest Loser Registration is Tuesday January 11th. all day from 7am to 7 pm. Ballroom dancing begins Monday January 17th. You do not need to be a gym member to sign up. Get info at the front desk.
