Happy New Year!

We are very excited for the upcoming year!  Our annual awards banquet for 2010 will take place on January 29^th at Wright’s Mill Farm.  Tickets are available at the front desk and need to be purchased by January 15^th.  This is our big celebration of the past year.  The slide show will showcase graduations, trips, tournaments and events held throughout 2010.

The evening includes appetizers, dinner, dancing, entertainment and of course the awards!   Our theme for the month will be on manners and etiquette. We will be using the banquet as an example of an event with expectations of behavior.  We will discuss how to dress, to eat and to act.   It is a great family event and nice way to celebrate all the accomplishments in the school.

Get  Ready for Stripe Testing this week!   Practice push-ups and sit-ups at home.

Testing in class Monday to Thursday only.   No testing on Friday.

Graduation on Friday at 6:30pm   No Black Belt Club class due to graduation.

Master Valentin of Meriden Connecticut will be here to teach on Saturday January 8^th.  We will run our regular class schedule that morning. In addition, Master Valentin will be teaching during the black belt club time. The class is open to all students in the black belt club as well as to any students interested in joining.   Master Valentin will be teaching sword techniques and a sword form.  ( We have wooden and foam swords for the students.)  This is open to all blue belt and higher ranks who are at least 7 years old- teens and adults too!
